Have a garden at new house how can i tell what is in it?

I bought a house this last winter. There was a garden here. some things are starting to sprout up. one is a big bush like with big leaves. the leaves have small prickles on it,but is smooth to the touch.

    You might talk to the neighbors on either side. They might know what kind of plants you have.

    Take a few cuttings of your trees, plants, or shrubs and visit your local nursery. Do not visit the garden area of a chain warehouse, but a smaller nursery. They will be able to tell you what you want to know…getting rid of plants you don’t like and taking care of the ones you love.
